MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Scottish American Society

MEMBERSHIP

Although many take advantage of our informational services and are welcome at most of our activities, we do have some opportunities only available to our members. Among those are travel services. We are in touch with people in Great Britain who will help any of our members with such services and will give a discount to them - sometimes individually and sometimes only when our group travels together.

We have a crack genealogist in Nancy Haggard Davis. Her personal services are available to our members but not to the general public. She does have a lot of information on her page on our web site, though.

We keep members informed as much as possible about special events that might be of interest, and will advertise items and individual services for sale if they request it. Our bulletin board and postings to special events are mainly for members or for items that would be of interest to our members.

We do have a few activities where we welcome only our members. These are not advertised in the public media. We encourage our members to actively participate in our annual Beltane Festival and they are permitted free entrance if they do so.

Although we request a donation for membership, we do not insist upon it.  We are interested in you and your participation and not your money.  If you cannot afford our regular dues, please just give whatever you can.
