Ed Pearlman appears regularly in our area, frequently playing fiddle accompanied by his son Neil
on piano. Neil has played since age 4 so he knows the music thoroughly, and learned Highland dance and Cape Breton
stepdance from his mom, Laura Scott. His knowledge of jazz piano shines through the way he backs up the traditional
fiddling.
To hear some audio samples, visit the CD page of his website (www.edpearlman.net), or our CDBaby page . They play pipe tunes, Scots fiddle, Cape Breton music, Gaelic song tunes, some originals, Auld Lang Syne and
lots more.
Ed has taught the Scottish fiddle course at the Ohio Scottish Arts School for 14 summers. You may have seen him perform
or judge fiddling if you have been to the Ohio Scottish Games. He and his son also performed at the Mod Banquet
Ceilidh at the Oberlin Inn on Sat June 28, 2008. It was an excellent and memorable performance.
